Watch Operations
Two different watch buttons
Regarding the two buttons on the watch, the top button is for the SOS but it's also to turn the power on and off. It shouldn’t be necessary to press this more than twice, for example, to look at the watch face and then turn the power off. The navigation is best accomplished with a bottom button, therefore, take care not to press the top button multiple times or it will trigger the SOS.
The optimal time for the sleep is 30 seconds
At 15 seconds, some operations can take time and then the watch goes to sleep too early
More than 30 seconds begins to eat into the battery life.
SOS
Ordinarily, the emergency call sent display will pop up into the foreground, however, that may be disrupted from a display perspective if other operations are in the way. If in doubt, open the app to see the emergency call sent display
The emergency can always be sent from the yellow "send alert" button on the app
Emergency Calls
Disarm an alarm from the control panel (vitals page) and in this way, if the user or the watch wearer is not in internet range and the alert goes off, he can telephone to let it be known that it's a false alert and the alarm can be turned off.
Emergency alerts can only be sent once per hour. Otherwise, it becomes problematic to know when alerts are on or off.
A low battery warning will trigger a nagging beeping warning on the watch. This is meant to be mildly irritating. And this can become complicated when it is combined with a no internet warning.
No internet warnings occur close to the time when the user is meant to swipe the alarm.
Heartbeat
The onus is on the wearer to set the heartbeat threshold high enough so as not to receive too many alerts.
The heartbeat on the map alert shows up for one hour and then disappears unless it is refreshed with the occurrence of another high heartbeat alert.
FAQ
What happens if I find myself outside the internet reception area?
If we find we can’t reach your app on the internet, we will let your friends know about this condition. Otherwise, you can always temporarily suspend the service from your app.
How long have I got to swipe the app and say I’m okay after the alarm goes off?
You’ve got up to 40 minutes and you can set that time on your alarms panel on the alarms page, that response time.
I just changed the settings on my control panel. How long will it take to update the app?
Usually, about 10-15 minutes or less, and the app will be updated with your new alarm settings.
Administration
Map Use
To see more information about the specific alert, click on the location label. It brings up another panel and it's also from there possible to call the watch-wearer directly.
The default refresh time on the map is 30 seconds. This interval is hardcoded but can be altered by developers.
The map re-sets to its original perspective when refreshed. Hence, when zooming into a particular locale, the refreshing is stopped.
Therefore it's necessary to either manually refresh or turn back on automatic refresh (with the side menu button)
The heartbeat on the map alert shows up for one hour and then disappear unless it is refreshed with the occurrence of another high heartbeat alert.
Watch Sharing - Sharing the watch across multiple users on multiple shifts Login and then log out for the different personnel
IMPORTANT: cancel any alerts and any emergency calls that may have been sent before logging out, otherwise, they will appear on the map. And then re-login with a new watch code.
Crossmatch the Employee Number with the watch code
Redundant emails
Alerts are sent by both email and SMS, but if any concern exists about receiving an alert, it's always possible to use another, second email.
Trouble Shooting
Watch Alarms not matching Control Panel Alarms
If not all the alarms are showing as expected, in other words, alarms are showing on the watch and they're not the same as what's on the control panel, then it's possibly due to two different devices being used at the same time, for example, the phone and the watch. In that case, log out of one or the other ones delete all the alarms, and then do not use -- only use one device. The best way to reproduce this is in the email.
If alarms don’t ring, it's likely to be due to a disruption in the settings and therefore they are best to be checked.
Battery
Excessive battery usage indicates the settings aren't ideal, particularly the screen brightness - see the technical manual.
The battery life can vary from day to day, depending on activity in background
Use no face ID
The watch is equipped by default with a face ID. However, it is not optimal to use it because it will obstruct multiple people using the same watch. And if it is necessary to then remove it, has to involve reprogramming settings on the watch.
Cancelling upcoming alarms
The watch provides the convenience of canceling an upcoming alarm from the watch. However, they really ought to be canceled from the backend system.
It's only possible to cancel one alarm per day and thereafter is necessary to cancel subsequent alarms for that day on the backend system.
